Because when you’re in a life-threatening scenario, picking the wrong pocket knife, folding knife, fixed knife or other sort of knife is a catastrophic mistake. The skill of jungle survival is no joke; in order to ensure your safety, you must select the sharpest knife.
Cheap bolt knives should be avoided if you intend to enroll in a SERE training program or a survival school. You are free to purchase a bolt knife. But soon, you’ll despise it. Not only are they uncomfortable and demanding, but they are also not durable.

A comfortable, razor-sharp field knife would be ideal, especially if you plan to enter the military, law enforcement, or special operations communities.
When you’re on the field, your life is a priority. Buying an inexpensive survival knife won’t do. For that reason, we tested out one of the best survival knives, ESEE 4. And this knife is just exceptional in too many ways.
This is hardly the best survival knife available, we have to admit. However, it has all the qualities that will win you over. It will be your closest ally on the playing field.
If you are familiar with Randall’s Adventure & Training, you probably know how wonderful their products are. This business has been making only the best survival knives since 1997.
The ESEE 4P Fixed Blade Knife is one of their coolest items. You’ve come to the correct place if you’re looking for a superb all-purpose knife.
The ESEE 4 model is the most popular one in the ESEE lineup. When we examined the available knives, we didn’t see any glaring discrepancies. However, the small variations between the 4 and the 3 and 5 are what distinguish this knife from others.
In comparison to the 3, the ESEE 4 knife’s blade is longer and thicker. The 4 is intended to be stronger and more resilient than the 3. It’s also lighter than the 5. Due of these factors, people consistently favor the ESEE 4 over previous ESEE model knives.
The ESEE Model 4 was designed by Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin as an all-around Tactical, Survival and Bushcraft Knife. Simply said, no other knife in its category can equal the performance, craftsmanship, and longevity of the ESEE-4. Military, police enforcement, and explorers from all over the world have put it to the test numerous times, whether it was in the Randalls Adventure & Training jungle survival school, on the person of a special operations soldier in battle, or fastened to a hiker’s backpack. You can’t go wrong with an ESEE-4 if you’re a hunter, member of law enforcement, a soldier, or just want to collect high-quality knives for everyday usage. Purchasing a quality knife involves more than just the actual product; it also involves the experience and the people that stand behind it. A NO QUESTIONS ASKED PROMISE is offered in support of the ESEE-4.
Strong and of exceptional quality. The grip on this one, which I also bought with contoured handles, is nice, but for a medium-sized hand, I prefer the contoured handles. The powder coat finish is the only thing I don’t particularly like. It is thick and abrasive; I’ll leave it for the time being, but if it interferes with my everyday tasks, I might take it off and give the blade an acid patina. This blade also comes in stainless, and it’s a lovely knife that cuts really nicely. This workhorse will endure abuse if you are harsh with your blades. If you want more of a daily chore knife the stainless with the curved grip would definitely be the better option.
